Cookies & Tracking
Effective date: October 15, 2026
Lokals uses cookies and similar technologies to operate the website, keep accounts secure, understand how Lokals is used and measure marketing performance.
Essential technologies
These are necessary for functions such as authentication, security, sessions, fraud prevention and saving preferences. They cannot reasonably be disabled while using features that depend on them.
Analytics
Lokals may use analytics tools such as PostHog to understand page usage, product funnels, performance and feature adoption.
PostHog session recordings show how visitors use our pages, such as clicks and scrolling. They hide everything typed into forms.
We configure analytics to avoid intentionally sending unnecessary sensitive candidate information.
Advertising
Lokals may use advertising technologies, including Meta advertising tools, to measure advertising performance and understand whether campaigns result in visits or registrations.
Optional advertising and analytics technologies can be controlled through our cookie-preference controls where applicable.
Your choices
The cookie banner provides three clear choices:
- Accept optional cookies
- Reject optional cookies
- Manage preferences
"Accept" is never the only easy button.
Browser settings may also allow you to block or remove cookies, although doing so can affect parts of the service.
