How Lokals works
The steps from a new profile or a new job to a phone call between the two.
Lokals is a local hiring service. It mixes parts of a job board, a recruiter and an app.
- Candidates make one profile. They do not need a resume.
- Employers tell us the job. They do not post ads or sort resumes.
- Lokals recommends a shortlist. Nobody gets a call booked without saying yes first.
- The first step is a 15-minute phone call, not a full interview.
The whole path
Who does what
| Step | The candidate | The employer | Lokals |
|---|---|---|---|
| Get ready | Makes a profile and does the work interview | Tells us the job and buys credits | Checks the people we already have, then looks for more |
| Say yes | Applies with I'm interested, or answers when we ask | Marks candidates Interested or Not a fit | Puts the shortlist in the Hiring Room |
| Contact | Gets the employer's booking link | Clicks Show contact, then Schedule Pre-Interview | Sends the booking link and reminders |
| Meet | Books a time and takes the call | Makes the call | Puts the call on both calendars |
| After | Hears back about next steps | Tells us how it went | Keeps the credit records right |
Why it works this way
- Both sides say yes first. That way, calls are with people who want to talk.
- A short call comes first. You get a feel for each other before anyone takes time off for a full interview.
- Employers pay for calls that happen. A credit is only used when the call takes place. See How credits work.
